What's in a name?
BabySmooches.com originated in 1989, out
of a teenager's frustration with people either
misspelling or mispronouncing her name.
The company’s concept was to provide
personalized, hand-designed baby gifts and
nursery accessories. Each product included
the child’s name and nursery theme. In 2008,
the product line was revamped, the company
was renamed BabySmooches.com, this time
including an online presence of infant and
toddler apparel.

A new inspiration
After becoming a mother herself in May 2008, Sonja Smith Jones
found little time for the personalized nursery accessories, but a new
inspiration in her son, Malcolm; thus scripture-based products were
born. She believes that it is not only important for parents to know what
the Word of God is regarding children, but also for children to be
covered in the Word of God. Each design is a colorful depiction of the
scripture, and the graphics are eye-catching and gender-neutral.
